I'm Ab Emam. I've founded three companies and taken two through successful exits — across government technology, data and digital marketing, and enterprise web. Along the way I've worked closely with PE firms, boards, and operators making the calls that determined what their businesses were actually worth.

What I learned across all of it is that the businesses that win don't just move fast. They make better decisions at the moments that actually matter. Vendor lock-in. Platform bets. Employee challenges and decisions made under deadline pressure with incomplete information. Those calls compound quietly, in both directions, and the cost of getting them wrong usually doesn't show up until it's expensive to fix.

My work today sits at that intersection in helping senior leaders navigate high-stakes technology and strategy decisions before momentum takes over. Increasingly that includes AI: not as a concept, but as a real set of build-versus-buy decisions with direct implications for margin, operations, and enterprise value.

WDG, a leading enterprise digital experience agency, was acquired by Trinity Hunt Partners, a growth-focused private equity firm, to elevate their tech-enabled marketing platform, Agital. Known for delivering innovative and impactful digital solutions, WDG has proudly partnered with prestigious organizations such as the Executive Office of the President, Barnes & Noble Booksellers, the American Red Cross, the Ford Foundation, and the University of Pennsylvania.

GovTrends - Exit 2012
Before founding WDG, I founded GovTrends, a pioneering firm specializing in government hosting and web technology. GovTrends delivered cutting-edge digital solutions to high-profile clients, including the United States Congress, the United States Senate, and the Department of Health and Human Services. The company’s success in this specialized market led to its acquisition by a leading industry competitor.

AcquireNow - Exit 2004
Prior to founding GovTrends, I founded AcquireNow, a pioneering firm specializing in data analytics, online acquisition, and customer engagement. AcquireNow partnered with globally recognized brands such as Godiva Chocolate, Wharton, Kimberly-Clark, and IBM to drive innovative strategies and measurable outcomes. After successfully building the company, I sold my ownership to my partners to build GovTrends.
